Hixkaryana (hix)

Hixkaryana is a cariban language spoken in Brazil. In 1959 the population was about 100, but people tried to save the language and the number increased. Alternative names are Chawiyana, Faruaru, Hichkaryana, Hishkaryana, Hixkariana, Kumiyana, Parucutu, Parukoto-Charuma, Sherewyana, Sokaka, Wabui, Xereu and Xerewyana.
