Menominee (mez)

Menominee (also Menomini) is a nearly-extinct Algonquian language spoken in Wisconsin. Menominee is an exonym from Ojibwe manoominii, meaning "wild rice people"; the Menominee call themselves Mamaceqtaw, "the people".
